As the popularity of Ultra HD continues to grow, integrators need to find a reliable way to distribute this content throughout their clients' homes.
Providing integrators with a solution capable of handling Ultra HD content is Vanco. The Ill.-based manufacturer has just announced its Evolution 4K HDBaseT 2.0 Extender with ARC and Digital/Analog Audio Breakouts to meet these 4K distribution demands.
Vanco's latest signal distribution solution utilizes HDBaseT 2.0 to send 4K at 60Hz with YCbCR 4:2:0 signals as far 330 feet when using Cat-6 cabling or 230 feet when using Cat-5e.
The extender supports Power over Cable (PoC) to allow either the transmit (TX) or receive (RX) unit to power the opposite side when the 24-volt power supply is used. When transmitting 1080p, Vanco states the Evolution product is capable of covering distances as far as 492 feet.
Vanco says the extender includes ARC functionality that permits audio received from the HDMI port on the receiver to be sent to an amplifier via the optical audio breakout on the transmitter unit. It also supports digital or analog audio breakouts for audio extraction purposes, and it also supports today's surround sound processing modes.
The Ultra HD 4K signal transmission solution includes a phoenix connector for RS-232 control options, wideband IR and it supports HDCP 2.2 and DVI 1.0.
