With more than 30 years of engineering experience, the Florida company Straight Wire has learned a few things about building reliable, trouble-free cabling products.
During CEDIA 2016, Straight Wire will show its latest products: the CHL-Locking Plug HDMI and SWTS Toslink cabling solutions.
The CHL-Locking Plug HDMI cables are available in lengths ranging from .6 meters all the way up to 10 meters, and Straight Wire explains the cables feature precision internal windings, short-plug bodies, locking connector tabs and active correction circuitry on cables longer than 4 meters.
Straight Wire also points out the CHL-Locking Plug HDMI cables are manufactured with tight tolerences that are highlighted by minimal variation from the 100-ohm standard regardless of the length, and the cables also feature CL-rated jackets and are certified to support 18Gbps.
The SWTS Toslink cable is available in lengths ranging from 1 meter to 10 meters, and the products incorporate a .6-inch tapered body plug with internal strain relief, along with reinforcement fibers for added durability, and a flexible black jacket.
According to Straight Wire, the SWTS Toslink's small body and strain relief allow for bend radius of almost 2.4-inches. The cables' internal Kevlar fibers are said to ensure the fiber cable will not be damaged when bending at angles approaching 90 degrees, and Straight Wire backs the line with a lifetime, limited warranty.
CEDIA 2016 attendees can see the CHL-Locking Plug HDMI and SWTS Toslink cables in booth 5334.
