Somfy Systems, the world’s largest manufacturer of tubular motors for interior and exterior window coverings, is excited to complete the Sonesse® ULTRA 50 motor range with the introduction of the Sonesse ULTRA 50 DC RTS motor.
The new Sonesse ULTRA 50 DC RTS motor adds the convenience of low-voltage power, while offering the quiet operation and superior strength the Sonesse ULTRA 50 motor range is known for. It’s now possible to control window coverings with the full suite of Radio Technology Somfy® control options, including hand-held remotes, the myLink™ mobile app, wireless wall switches, sensors, timers, and more.
The Sonesse ULTRA 50 DC RTS motor joins the Sonesse ULTRA 50 RS485 motors and completes Somfy’s ultra quiet, ultra strong, and ultra flexible motor range.

Packed with great features, the Sonesse ULTRA 50 DC RTS streamlines programming and installation to save time and add convenience. It’s now possible to set limits and a five minute sleep mode directly from the motor head, saving time and eliminating the need to unplug motors for programming. LED indicators give immediate feedback, while Somfy’s rubberized universal end cap absorbs noise and reduces vibration to ensure ultra-quiet operation.
The Sonesse ULTRA 50 motor range includes the quietest interior shading motors on the market, operating at a near-silent 38 dBA. The unique combination of silence and power offer between four and six Nm of lifting capacity, as well as the flexibility of both AC and DC power options.
These quiet, high-performing motors can be used with a variety of window coverings to match any interior design and provide easy installation for integrators.
