There are few brands within the custom and specialty consumer audio markets that rival the popularity of Paradigm. With the launch of its new Persona line, Paradigm is leveraging its engineering team’s decade of experience to produce a benchmark line of products that extends the levels of performance the company has built its reputation on.
Paul Grove, senior vice president, global sales and marketing for Paradigm, says the Persona line was developed out of design concepts that were well-received during public exhibitions.
“We were able to transform what began as a bold concept speaker into a renaissance for the brand,” explains Grove. “After receiving rave reviews about our Concept 4F, which debuted at Munich High End 2015, we knew we had something special, and the foundation to create the best sound speakers we’ve ever produced.”
Paradigm says one of the keys to the Persona product line’s performance is its use of Beryllium as a diaphragm material The use of Beryllium as a driver material is normally done of products that are much higher in price, and the benefit of using the material is that it is lighter and stiffer than most diaphragm materials.
“The creation of this series has been a true journey and allowed us to push the engineering limits of our technological capabilities at Paradigm,” adds Oleg Bogdanov, director of product development, Paradigm. “Our team can’t wait for everyone to hear these speakers—it’s a series of which we’re incredibly proud.”
One dealer excited by Paradigm’s latest product line is AV Therapy co-owner, John Rein. Rein says that all of the research and development (R&D) Paradigm invested into the Persona line of speakers help the speakers to produce performance levels that he has never experienced before from the company.
“They have a spatial quality I’ve never seen out of a Paradigm before,” says Rein. “They are exceeding all of our expectations. When Paradigm announced the price points we were somewhat skeptical like most dealers. I would say to anybody was—don’t worry about it. They are an amazing product.”
Rein says the products offer so much more than what they had initially expected, “they practically sell themselves.” Rein notes that dealers shouldn’t have any problem selling the Persona product line, especially the flagship 9H speaker, which incorporates Paradigm’s ARC room equalization system to aid dealers during the integration process.
Paradigm provides a choice of seven products and two stands that integrators can use to create stereo and home theater systems of any size. Here is a look at each of the seven Persona models:
