Sonance is taking preorders for its Professional Series 70v/100v/8-ohm loudspeakers. The series is on display at ISE 2017 in booth 1-N80.
The speakers come in a choice of in-ceiling, pendant and surface-mount. With 22 products in total, the line provide dealers with the flexibility of selecting of 70-volt, 100-volt and 8-ohm operation from their built-in full-fidelity transformers.
“We believe that it is an opportune time to leverage our extensive knowledge and expertise to develop a range of commercial loudspeakers that deliver our signature balance of performance and aesthetics,” says Simon Wehr, director of commercial sales, Dana Innovations. “We worked closely with key specifiers and installers as we developed the Professional Series to ensure the range delivers the right feature sets at competitive price points.”
Sonance says the speakers feature heavy-duty voice coils, high-excursion woofers for extended bass performance, and chambered 1-inch tweeters for precise high-frequency detail.
The in-ceiling models utilize bezelless grille designs to minimize the products' installed visual impact within interior spaces, while also contributing to a one-step painting process. The magnetic grilles are designed to install quickly and easily, and the company also offers grille options that include the color black and square adapters to match the appearance of downlights and HVAC fixtures.
The line include 4-, 6.5- and 8-inch two way models, and an 8-inch subwoofer, and all of the products are UL 1480 and UL 2239 certified. The products ship with white grilles, along with a tile bridge and C-rings.
The pendant speakers employ a minimalist design that includes integrated top covers that hide hanging hardware and wiring connectors. Sonance supplies each pendant speaker with 16.4-feet of stainless steel suspension cable with snap hooks and two gripple hangers, and the speakers are available in a choice of black or paintable white finishes.
In addition, the weather-resistant speakers incorporate Sonance's FastMount bracket, front-cable connections and tap selectors to aid dealers during the installation process. Sonance emphasizes the speakers meet IPX4, Mil Spec 810 and UV IEC 529 specifications to allow dealers to use the speakers indoors or outdoors, and the products are available in a choice of black or paintable white finishes.
