N.Y.-based Key Digital is well-known for its contributions to the HDMI format and its knowledge of digital A/V technologies. Supplementing its line of matrix solutions, Key Digital has announced several new product additions including its KD-Pro6x6CC matrix switcher.
The matrix switcher provides six HDBaseT (Cat-5e/6 RJ45) and six HDMI outputs with automatic Cat-5e/Cat-6 cable equalization to support connections to as many as 12 televisions (six mirrored).
The matrix packages three Key Digital KD-XSWRx receiver extenders to facilitate multiple HDBaseT connected displays, and the company says the matrix and extenders are capable of transmitting 1080p/60Hz, 1080p/24Hz, 1080i and 720p as far as 250 feet.
The combination, in conjunction with Key Digital approved Cat-5e/Cat-6 cabling, can also transmit Ultra HD 4K with HDR (high dynamic range) as far as 150 feet. It can also transmit 4K content with non-approved cabling at lesser distances.
Supporting control integration, Key Digital says the matrix incorporate its Compass Control system to negate the need for a master controller. Explaining further, Key Digital says the matrix supports up to 27 control ports, and it notes dealers can activate enterprise software licenses to enable iOS and Android control capabilities.
Other features include:
- HDMI Return Channel
- Support for 12-bit Deep Color
- Dolby Atmos audio
- DTS-HD Master Audio
- Control options such as voltage triggers, IR and RS-232 serial
- Integration into control systems like AMX, Control4, Crestron, KNX, RTI, Savant, URC and Leviton
