In this era of 4K and HDR, one of the most important elements of video performance too often overlooked is brightness. Providing homeowners with a reasonably-priced projector with impressive brightness, Epson has announced its new Home Cinema 1450 projector.
Epson says the Home Cinema 1450 projector utilizes its 3LCD chipset to produce a 1080p resolution, and a light engine that produces up to 4,200 lumens of color brightness and 4,200 lumens of white brightness.
“Bright Epson Home Cinema projectors take relaxing at home with friends to the next level—from watching life-size athletes take on rivals to playing th latest console game,” says Rodrigo Catalan, senior product manager, projectors, Epson. “The Home Cinema 1450 delivers an ultra-brilliant image, even in the living room with the lights on. Just plug the Home Cinema 1450 into a streaming or gaming device to transform it into a massive, vivid display for hours of entertainment.”
The popular video manufacturer points out that professional integrators can connect cable set-top boxes, streaming devices from companies such as Amazon, Apple and Roku, gaming consoles and Blu-ray disc players to the Home Cinema 1450 to provide a choice of entertainment options.
Epson notes the Home Cinema 1450 also incorporates features such as multiple HDMI inputs, built-in speakers and MHL device compatibility.
One key option the projector offers is the ability to display images from two HDMI sources simultaneously on a single screen. This option can be an attractive feature for sports fans with the NHL and NBA playoffs set to start, as well as other events.
The Home Cinema 1450 will begin shipping in mid-April for an MSRP of $1,499.
