Calling it the “industry’s only” and an “industry first,” Crestron is now shipping its DigitalMedia NVX Series, which it says provides an infinitely scalable network AV solution, from a simple point-to-point setup, to thousands of endpoints, and requires only DM NVX Series Encoders/Decoders.
Crestron says the latest addition to its DigitalMedia family of products utilizes AV over IP technologies to transmit 4K signals over IP and supports the transmission of bandwidth intensive formats, including 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 HDR video over 1Gb Ethernet.

Crestron DM NVX Series Delivers System Flexibility
The N.J.-based company points out the scalable DM NVX Series is capable of delivering state-of-the-art content to systems as simple as a point-to-point configuration, to thousands of end points in a large-scale system.
Ensuring the security of sensitive content, Crestron emphasizes the DM NVX Series utilizes 802.1X authentication, along with its Active Directory credential management technology to ensure that only authorized administrators can access systems. The product line also employs the Secure CIP protocol to ensure connections between NVX Series devices and Crestron control systems.
Crestron says there is no latency with DM NVX Series components, and the products are compatible with standard enterprise-grade 1Gb networking devices. The company adds that integrators can easily configure NVX Series-based systems through the product line's on-board intelligent software.
DM NVX Series products include the DM NVX Encoder/Decoder boxes (DM-NVX-350, DM-NVX-351), DM NVX Encoder/Decoder Cards (DM-NVX-350C, DM-NVX-351C), and the DM NVX Card Chassis (DMF-C18).
The encoders feature built-in USB 2.0 routing, DSP, breakaway audio, HDCP 2.2 support and auto switching.
