Hisense XT880 Ultra HD TV Features 3D, Android Ice Cream Sandwich
Hisense’s XT880 Ultra HD TV features 3D technology, Smart TV features and Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
The XT880 is a new 3D Smart Ultra High Definition TV, meaning it’s a 2160p TV with a resolution of 3840x2160.
Hisense plans to make the XT880 Series available in 50-, 58- and 65-inch sizes, all with 3D and Smart TV features. Each one will also have an ARM dual-core microprocessor and the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Other expected features include built-in WiFi and a detachable camera for facial recognition, gesture control and Skype calling.
To support some of those goodies, the XT880 will come packing a remote with a built-in microphone.
“The XT880 series brings together all of the latest features available on high-end televisions today,” says JoAnne Foist, director of marketing at Hisense USA. “With automatic backlight control, contrast enhancement and the XT880’s best-in-class video processing and scaling features, the XT880 represents the pinnacle of Hisense’s R&D strengths and bold design language.”
There’s no word on when the XT880 will start selling or for how much. However, Hisense plans to show off the entire line in January at CES 2013.
