Platinum Tools has released a statement regarding a recent issue related to its patents. According to the company, incorrect patent labels were applied to certain jars of its 50 and 100 EZ-RJ connectors.
Here is the full statement released by Platinum Tools:
To Our Valued Distributors, Dealers and Customers,
Please be advised that on certain labels affixed to jars of Platinum Tools’ branded connectors, reference was inadvertently made that certain connectors are covered by the following U.S. Patents:
U.S. Patent No. 9,543,729 B2
U.S. Patent No. 10,116,082 B2
U.S. Patent No. 10,573,990 B2
Platinum Tools’ understanding is that the labels at issue are limited only to certain jars of its quantity 50 and 100 EZ-RJ connectors, and not to any of its other packaging and labels, including for example blister packs, boxes, etc.
To clarify, the U.S. Patents Nos. referenced above are valid and owned by Platinum Tools, however, they relate to and encompass only Platinum Tools’ ezEX-RJ45 line of connectors, and not any other line of connectors it sells, including for example its EZ-RJ45 line of connectors.
Platinum Tools apologizes for any confusion and inconvenience. At this time no further action is needed on your end, and we have taken steps to correct inventory in our warehouse and future production. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or require further clarification.
Sincerely,
Platinum Tools, LLC
