Category: Retrofit Project of the Year up to $50,000 Integrator: Digital Interiors Project: The Douglas Project Wayne and Ann Douglas have been customers of Digital Interiors since 1998. They decided to build a new home, a custom cabin located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. A beautiful lighted pathway leads down to the pavilion, sitting less than 150 feet from Lake Blue Ridge. As there was no "lighting plan" to speak of when the house was built, it would take 45 minutes after an evening of entertaining just to turn the lights off. Today, savvy homeowners desire to control everything inside their home from one place. That is where we make the difference. They want simple, as do we. Digital Interiors was proud to address specific issues. It was determined that Lutron Electronics would best her needs. There were three different types of RA 2 dimmers (adaptive, multi-location and power module) for lighting under the kitchen counters, cove lighting and the front door for the 30 lighting loads being controlled. In addition, there were four RA 2 lamp dimmers. All lighting can be accessed through the RA 2 car visor transmitter/receiver unit featuring 6 button keypad with pre-programmed scenes and full/flash security, used to talk to the security system. An app can control the system remotely or in the home.Back to article
