CEA Names 2014 Mark of Excellence Winners
The winners of the 2014 Mark of Excellence Awards, presented by the CEA's TechHome Division, were announced at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Here's a look at the winning products, installations, and top integrator of the year.
Video Product of the Year: TiVo Roamio Pro TiVo Roamio combines the functionality of a DVR, Apple TV, Roku and Slingbox and all with an award-winning and ultra-intuitive user interface. Cable provides a phenomenal experience and TiVo Roamio makes it even better by extending it anywhere. The TiVo Roamio DVR series is the only line of devices on the market that integrate cable TV with web apps, over-the-top content like Netflix and Hulu Plus and video on demand all while making it accessible throughout the home via streaming to mobile devices or via the TiVo Mini. The TiVo Roamio comes in three models – Roamio (which also works with ATSC), Roamio Plus and Roamio Pro – and includes built-in WiFi for simple set up, four to six tuners for the ability to record up to six simultaneous programs, a remote-finding feature, up to 450 hours of HD storage (3 TB) and a streamlined user interface that allows users to choose what they watch with more agility and control than ever before.
