SimpliciKey KeyCloud SimpliciKey started out with a not-unattractive remote-controllable lock, which could be operated with a keyfob utilizing a proprietary RF protocol. The two-sided product offers a keypad on the outside hardware. At CES 2013, the company demonstrated the next iteration of the product, which communicates (again via proprietary RF) with a home gateway and, ultimately, the cloud. With SimpliciKey's KeyCloud service, users can do most of the things the other Web-enabled locks can do, such as lock and unlock the door remotely and grant virtual keys to guests. The plan is to built out a complete home automation ecosystem that includes lighting control and other subsystems. Native Communications: Proprietary RF Integration friendliness: 0/5 Retrofit: Replaces standard doors and locks Keyless entry: Keypad, keyfob Aesthetics/finish options: 3/5 Bonus points: 0 http://www.simplicikey.com
