The electronic security industry’s most prominent trade show — International Security Conference (ISC) West — is just around the corner. On March 28-31 dealers, integrators, manufacturers, distributors, monitoring providers and other channel partners as well as a broad range of verticals and industries will converge on the Venetian Expo center, and already the numbers for ISC West 2023 are looking to eclipse last year’s showing of nearly 20,000 security professionals.
“The numbers for ISC West 2023 are strong and trending upwards,” says ISC Security Events EVP Mary Beth Shaughnessy. “We are expecting more than 600 exhibiting companies and 20,000+ total industry professionals with an increase in international attendance as well.”
Exhibitors presenting the newest products available in access control, alarms & monitoring, drones & robotics, IT & IoT security, smart home solutions, video surveillance and more are expected to fill a busy expo floor.
Registered attendees, meanwhile, will get looks at the most recent advancements in technology as well as a chance to network with thousands of their peers. Attendees will also have access to the SIA Education@ISC program while at the show, which will feature more than 70 panel discussion and presentations exploring trends and innovations in physical, connected and cyber security.
“One theme running through ISC West 2023 will be the convergence of security and how to take a holistic approach to challenges,” Shaughnessy states. “Companies need to merge the concept of cybersecurity and physical security to protect their organization’s assets and data critical infrastructure. The Connected IoT area on the show floor will now feature cybersecurity to better reflect the type of exhibitors and content offered at ISC West and support attendee demand for cybersecurity related solutions.”

The conference program, presented in partnership with ISC West’s premier sponsor SIA, will feature sessions devoted to some of the most challenging topics in security. The topics included are active shooter training and school safety; securing supply chains; the converging worlds of physical and cyber security; career development; the impact of AI and edge computing on security technology; identifying and mitigating insider threats; drone and counterdrone strategies and the regulatory environment around them; public/private partnerships with law enforcement; and more.
“We are particularly excited about our Workforce Development and Career Zone, a new hub dedicated to young professionals and next-gen leaders in the security industry,” says Shaughnessy. “Not only will it offer workshops on mentoring, personal brand-building and retaining talent, but it will also feature a professional headshot studio and a cornhole section for networking.”
