This is not new.  Juno Aculux began shipping as far back as 2014 have a dual channel lighting fixture.  This allowed for color temp. tuning and intensity control.  The way that Juno and now Lutron is dealing with this requires more equipment and substantial programming to manage these two variables.  Ketra offers greater range of color temp. control while offering intensity control with a single tool set.  In addition profiles emulating a wide range of settings are pre-configured for MUCH easier commissioning (less time programing, terminating, etc.)  see attached video of the Juno technology in 2014 doing exactly what is being shown by Lutron in Feb of 2018. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg0xunRC4cY
