Wave Electronics opens Atlanta location and doubles the size of Austin with a new branch that opened November 15.

After the recent relocation of the branch in Austin, Texas, to a new model that is twice the size, Wave Electronics Atlanta is now also open for business, according to the distributor.
Wave Electronics created an updated model in its new 12,000-square-foot Austin facility. The newest distributor concept combines what Wave already is doing at its locations along with some new ideas. These include sound rooms, hand pick areas, training facilities, and an “automated living room” along with working demos and storyboards.
Special vignettes were even designed to show off new innovations from Bose and control partners. The automated living room has already been a big hit for dealers with its wild design incorporating controlled Lutron lighting, shades, and new motorized Black Diamond screen from Screen Innovations.
Will Breaux, vice president of marketing for Wave Electronics, saw the opportunity to grab attention with the design and feature some innovative products, some new to the distributor. “Now that we are an official distributor for Lutron shades and lighting control, we wanted a way to showcase this and other innovations in our new design. Instead of a dark theater, we made an ultra-modern viewing room that is open to the hand pick areas and can also be seen through a window from the front sales counter. A Lutron cellular shade and GRAFIK Eye add to the appeal and are controlled by a wall mounted iPad running RTI software,” he says.
“It allows our dealer to walk into an attention-getting room loaded with working product in action. We even encourage our dealers to bring in their customers, the end users, to demonstrate the products because this ‘wows’ them and ultimately helps our dealers. The market has changed and our dealers are evolving, so we do too. If they aren’t already on board with control and automation, we can help them get there.”
The new Austin location moved to 9208 Waterford Centre Blvd #120, around the corner from the old location, to accommodate the doubling in size that was necessary for the growth Wave has experienced, according to the company.
During this build-out process, Wave was also busy getting a new market up and running. The Atlanta location opened on November 5.
Andrew Risner, formerly with TiVo, and Bob Gatton, formerly an integrator, head up the new branch. Full features, such as those showcased in the new Austin branch, are in the works and will be built out over the next
few months. Wave Electronics Atlanta is located at 2600 Pinemeadow Ct. Duluth, GA 30096. Wave Electronics is currently operating in Georgia, Florida, New Jersey, Texas, and Louisiana.
