Vivint Doorbell Camera Enables Remote Interaction with Home Visitors
Wi-Fi enabled Vivint Doorbell Camera allows homeowners to detect visitors at their front door and interact with them from inside the home or remotely with a mobile device.

Vivint has released a new product to help homeowners detect visitors at their front door.
The Vivint Doorbell Camera, a Wi-Fi enabled smart home product, features advanced video analytics to alert homeowners to approaching visitors with customized notifications to a mobile device.
The discreet doorbell camera starts recording when a person approaches the door. When the visitor rings the doorbell, the homeowner receives a live video feed through a smartphone app or on the system’s Vivint SkyControl wall panel installed in the home.
The system disarms and performs any number of set actions from turning on lights to adjusting the climate control if the person inputs the correct code on the deadbolt.
The homeowner also has the ability to engage with visitors on their doorsteps remotely from any mobile device thanks to a built-in microphone and speaker.
In addition to two-way communication, the smart home device also features a 180-degree lens, which shows homeowners their entire doorstep in high quality video, the company claims.

The doorbell cam also features night vision technology, allowing homeowners to see visitors approaching even in low-light conditions.
“We’re constantly working to give our customers the best in smart home technology by adding greater intelligence and convenience to their busy lives,” Vivint CTO Jeremy Warren says. “With the Vivint Doorbell Camera, we combined brilliant technology and elegant design to provide a doorstep experience like no other in the marketplace.”
Within a couple of months, Vivint expects the camera to authenticate faces and unlock the door and disarm the system within seconds. Vivint ranked no. 2 in the 2015 CE Pro 100.
