Vivint CEO Pedersen to Appear on CBS Show “Undercover Boss”
Todd Pedersen to pose as a video store owner and work with Vivint's 24/7 monitoring station, wireless Internet division, field services department and a Vivint Solar warehouse.
Now in its sixth season, the two-time Emmy Award winning series follows high-level executives as they slip anonymously into the rank-and-file of their own organizations. Each week, a different leader goes on an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their operation.
During the episode Pedersen will pose as a video store owner from Bend, Oregon. Under the guise, Pedersen worked with across several areas of the business, including the company’s 24/7 monitoring station, wireless Internet division, field services department and a Vivint Solar warehouse.
Pederson believes the experiment yielded positive results.
“Going undercover was such an incredible experience that I actually didn’t want it to end,” he says. “Working alongside my employees gave me the opportunity to see firsthand why Vivint is such a successful company. We have grown exponentially in the past 14 years, and I want to make sure our employees understand how critical they are to our business.”
Tune in to the season finale on Feb. 20 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) to see how Pedersen and his employees fared during the experience.
