Video Weekly News: Legrand’s Acquisition of Luxul Is Latest in Wave of Industry Consolidation
The news that Legrand acquired IP networking company Luxul Wireless comes only two months after the news that Control4 acquired Luxul competitor Pakedge Device & Software.
The buzz this week is all about Legrand's acquisition of Luxul Wireless, a leader in the IP networking category. IP networking is becoming a real priority for custom integrators these days, and Legrand is on top of it.
This comes only two months after the news that Control4 acquired Luxul competitor Pakedge Device & Software.
For Legrand, the announcement also comes right on the heels of the company's acquisition of Pinnacle Architectural Lighting last week and the recent purchase of shading provider QMotion in December.
CE Pro's sister publication Commercial Integrator has something to say about all this consolidation among manufacturers within the industry. What do you think? How will these moves affect custom integrators?
