Vanco International is a manufacturer of audio, video and mobile electronics with more than 50 years of manufacturing experience. Recently the Batavia, Ill-based company announced its HDBaseT Lite Extender products, and according to the company the extenders are designed to transmit audio, video and control signals as far as 229 feet.

Vanco explains the products utilize the HDBaseT format to deliver 3D video, 4K video, the uncompressed DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD audio formats, as well as control signals over a single Cat-5 or Cat-6 cable. In total the company points out, the HDBaseT Lite Extenders offer installers a throughput of 10.2Gbps and full HDCP compliance to support the products use in a variety of home theater and whole-house A/V installations.

The HDBaseT Lite Extenders are available in wall plate versions that measure 4.5-inches wide by 4.5-inches high and 1.25-inches deep, and surface mount versions that measure 4.4-inches wide by .9-inches high and 3-inches deep. Vanco adds the devices are powered by 5-volt DC power supplies that can be easily hidden for most installations.
