Toshiba Plans Glasses-Free 3D TV in 2010
Toshiba reportedly plans to unveil three models of glasses-free 3D TVs before Christmas.
One major gripe about 3D TV is definitely the pricey, sometimes itchy 3D glasses.
Toshiba is hoping to make that a non-issue, with a new glasses-free 3D TV.
According to the AFP, that 3D TV could come before Christmas, which is when Toshiba plans to unveil three models of the TV.
Don’t get too excited, though, the cost to go without glasses could end up being a few thousand dollars for you or your clients.
Despite showing off glasses-free displays earlier this year, Toshiba has not released any details about any of the models. I’m guessing they will hit Japan before we see anything similar on retail shelves anywhere else.
