System 7 Named 2016 CTA Integrator of the Year
Boston custom integrator System 7 headed by Gerry Lynch is named the 2016 Consumer Technology Association TechHome Division Mark of Excellence Integrator of the Year at CES 2016.
In receiving the honor, System 7 CEO Gerry Lynch said he was humbled to receive the award.
The company grew a solid 30 percent in revenues in 2015 and Lynch says the booked business for this year is way ahead of last year’s pace. System 7 has been very innovative in several ways. Among other things, it has shared a high-end showroom with a custom builder, and currently has a new showroom in the Boston Design Center.
The company abides by a project portfolio that allows it to maintain a mix of large six-figure projects that always keeps them on the cutting-edge while also performing smaller scale jobs to help maintain cash flow. Another unique trait of this company is that it uses highly educated female project managers with Master’s Degrees in Architecture to work closely with the design community and other trades.
Lynch humbling noted in accepting the award, “The company success sounds like it was all planned. Many times you have moments of doubt that you are doing the right things, but this award is validation of our business plan.”
Lynch called out industry leaders Joe Lautner of Nortek and Ian Hendler of Leviton as two individuals that have helped guide his success. In fact, Lynch installed one of the first HomeLogic (now Elan) systems ever.
