After years of focus on the stereo and home theater categories, the new Sonus faber Palladio brings the company into the architectural loudspeaker market.

The Sonus faber Palladio series of architectural loudspeakers offers homeowners a choice of two product lines: Level 5 and Level 6. The product lines are designed to complement its Sonetto and Olympica speaker collections to help integrators mix-and-match in-room and architectural speakers.

Arguably the biggest news from the residential side of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2019 show is the new Sonus faber Palladio architectural loudspeakers.

At ISE 2019 in booth 14-C150, the Italian loudspeaker company will show its new Palladio series of architectural loudspeakers that pay homage to the company's roots and Vicenza's heritage.

Sonus faber says, "Most of Palladio's creations are concentrated in Vicenza and its surrounding territory and the city is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We recognize the privilege of this special site holding our roots, which ultimately guided the decision to dedicate this collection to Palladio; a line of speakers designed for perfect integration into any architectural environment, carefully studied, and always natural."

Sonus faber Palladio Series Offer Plenty of Product Choices

Providing a wide selection of loudspeaker solutions, the Palladio Series includes two product lines: Level 5 and Level 6.

The Level 5 and Level 6 Palladio architectural products are engineered to respectively match its Sonetto and Olympica product collections through the choice of 13 loudspeaker models.

The Level 5 product line offers a choice of two in-wall speakers and four in-ceiling loudspeakers, while the Level 6 product line features two in-wall loudspeakers and five in-ceiling loudspeakers.

The company also points out that integrators can augment the low-frequency capabilities of both product lines through the addition of its PS-G101 passive in-wall subwoofer.

The Level 5 line includes two angled models—the PC-562P and the PC-563P—while the Level 6 product line also offers a choice of two angled models—PC-662P and the PC-664P. These models are designed for installation in home theater and whole-house audio systems to meet any homeowner requirement.

Both lines also include in-wall LCR models: the Level 5 PL-563 and the Level 6 PL-664.

The in-wall LCR models are designed for high power handling and they can be used to design a range of home theater systems.

The PC-664P, PL-664, and PW-662 incorporate sealed wooden boxes that provide integrators and homeowners with sound isolation properties. The Level 6 product line also incorporates die-cast aluminum baskets that were designed in-house by Sonus faber laboratories.

The Level 5's silk-dome tweeters are framed by aluminum flanges, and the Level 6 features front baffles that are similar to its Olympica product line. The Level 6 places the speakers' tweeters and midrange drivers in supports covered in leather, and the line offers optional walnut wood front panels with maple inlays.

All Palladio speakers utilize magnetic grilles, and the Level 6 products include an additional option of the company's elastic grille masks to maintain the look of classic Sonus faber loudspeakers.

The company's Palladio products will be available in the third quarter of 2019, and it will confirm pricing during the second quarter of 2019.
