Our programmer suggested using a SnapAV Wirepath 16 Channel DVR for a current project we are working on, so I headed straight for the SnapAV booth when I got to CEDIA Expo 2012.

They currently have drivers for some control systems (Control4, RTI, Savant) and they are actively building drivers for everyone else, allowing native streaming with no extra boxes.

[Ed. note, since Mac is a die-hard Crestron fan and didn’t mention: SnapAV claims that the DVR is the first to stream natively to Control4, no third-party encoder required.]

The on-screen user interface for the DVR is one of the best on the market (shown below). Other products on the market have outdated, difficult-to-use menus. Most of SnapAV’s products are similarly tailored for custom installers.

They don’t just come up with products that solve a problem. They create products that become solutions for us.

More information at their website . They even have a screenshot of what comes in the box so you know if you need to order anything else.
