SIM2 Sexes Up CES with 3D Demo
The company is mixing business with pleasure with its Grand Cinema C3X Lumis 3D projector demo that highlights "assets" of a poolside bikini party that need to be seen in 3D.
The centerpiece of its 15-minute demonstration in Las Vegas Hilton Suite 2110 is a demo clip that brings out the “assets” of 3D seldom seen before… at least not by me. The demo is a poolside dance party that provocatively shows models swimming, blowing bubbles, sunbathing and doing many other activities. The images are so vivid that I almost got up to dance and put on a swimsuit.
Honestly, the Grand Cinema C3X LUMIS 3D DUO dual-projection system, which the Italian manufacturer says is the brightest 3D system in the home cinema market, and winner of a 2011 Innovations Design and Engineering Award from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), made it seem as if you were simply looking through a window.
Other 3D clips presented using the projector included an Ice Age 3 trailer, along with some awesome compilation scenes from Avatar. Not to be outdone, the company had some MICO 60 non-3D demo clips that were incredibly bright. The demo also includes an audio/video system from Procella Audio and screens from DNP.
SIM2 is using the demos as a backdrop for its 2011 agenda, which will focus on helping dealers improve their business operations and profits. The educational focus is part of a new dealer program the company is unveiling for its top tier integrators.
“2011 is set to be a tremendous year of growth for SIM2,” says Alberto Fabiano, executive vice president of sales and marketing of SIM2 USA. “We want our dealers to be ready and SIM2 understands that our dealers are still in a state of recovery due to the economic crunch. We are here to support them and aid them in the process of gaining vital business. We are ready to put money back into their wallets, allowing them to keep pace with our success, while building their own.”
CES attendees are invited to stop by the SIM2 demo in Suite 2110, Central Tower of the Las Vegas Hilton.
