RTI T4x Flagship Remote Control Is Now Shipping
RTI says its new T4x combines its latest industrial design and it includes features such as Wi-Fi and dual RF connectivity.
Providing integrators with a new interface option, the RTI T4x remote control is now shipping.
Remote Technology Incorporated (RTI) says that the remote serves as its new flagship handheld interface solution, and through the combination of the T4x's industrial design and its state-of-the-art feature set, it can be used in a range of environments.
"With its modern look and feel, the T4x is the perfect addition to today's smart homes and offices," states Ed McConaghav, CEO, RTI.
"But the controller offers so much more than an eye-catching design. Its advanced features and multiple wireless options allow integrators to provide the utmost control experience for their customers."
RTI T4x Remote Ergonomics Include 4-Inch Capacitive Touchscreen
The new T4x remote control incorporates a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen, along with fully programmable soft-touch buttons to facilitate a variety of customized programming scenarios.
Some of the T4x's other features include built-in Wi-Fi, dual RF and grip sensors that make the product user-friendly for people in residential and commercial environments.
According to RTI, the remote's 4-inch capacitive touchscreen enables users to swipe through pages and lists, and the remote's 20-programmable soft-touch buttons can be programmed by integrators to deliver quick, one-touch access to users' most commonly used system functions.
Explaining the remote's connectivity options, RTI says the T4x's integrated 802.11b/g/n enables users to view MJPEG video, and to perform items such as perform program updates, while providing the remote with two-way communication capabilities.
The remote's dual-RF options support 433MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4GHz ZigBee for bi-directional communications with its control processors, as well as third-party devices, including lighting, music servers and HVAC systems.
To support added user convenience, the T4x handheld remote also includes an accelerometer to deliver instant-on activation.
