Ring Video Doorbell Integrates with Crestron Home Automation in Award-Winning Install
Restrepo Innovations nabs Crestron Global Home Technology Award for clever use of AV LinkPro PBX Bridge to integrate Ring video doorbell with Crestron home-automation.
Crestron Electronics, a manufacturer of home automation solutions, recently announced the North American winners of its 2018-2019 Global Home Technology Awards
The award for best residential integration utilizing a Crestron Partner went to Restrepo Innovations of Paramus, N.J., for its application of the AV LinkPro PBX Bridge on the company's Maplewood, N.J., residential project.
Restrepo Innovations is a concierge A/V and automation company that specializes in complex systems, large-scale homes and estates.
According to Crestron, this unique system provided by AV LinkPro for this location is designed to allow audio and video intercom functionality throughout the residence and seamlessly integrate into the Crestron environment.
“We are pleased to have been able to participate with the Restrepo Innovations project in Maplewood and proud to have made it possible for this dealer to be selected for such a high honor,” says Jon Miller, project manager, AV LinkPro.
“We chose the AV LinkPro solution because of its unique ability to make the Ring doorbell station seamlessly talk and interact with the Crestron system,” says Michael Restrepo, owner, Restrepo Innovations. “Since the installation, the system has operated flawlessly and has never needed to be rebooted or serviced."
Crestron Award Winner Turns to AV LinkPro
When Restrepo Innovations was faced with the challenge of connecting a Ring doorbell to a client’s Crestron integrated home, the integrator turned to AV LinkPro, a Crestron Integration partner and reliable solution that solved the Restrepo client’s in-home audio and video communication issues.
AV LinkPro was designed and developed to assist dealers with the integration of the latest audio and video intercom, as well as VOIP telephony solutions in high-end residential applications.
The system is designed to bridge connectivity with a variety of products that would normally not easily interface and make a unified, fully connected communication solution possible within home automation system environments.
Crestron says AV LinkPro is the only SIP-based system offering full H.264 HD video streaming, RTSP transport, multicast video, full intercom communication, and custom level programming, and says it's a communication bridge for SIP, IP and TCP/IP integration to help installers create fully functional solutions.
