What would you say to dealers who are already familiar with your product line?

Crestron leadership in IoT technology allows our dealers to deliver an unparalleled level of value to homeowners. Systems can be set up faster, homeowners can easily adjust many scenes and settings, and dynamic system learning drives personalization and energy-savings. But perhaps most important for dealers are the built-in system monitoring and management capabilities. Since we launched the MyCrestron Residential Monitoring Service, tens of thousands of Crestron Pyng and 3-Series systems have been enrolled. It’s clear that homeowners value the peace of mind and proactive service that comes with monthly monitoring programs.

What would you say to dealers who are stumbling across your company for the first time?

We are passionate about delivering truly exceptional homeowner experiences. And that requires exceptional dealer partners who share our vision. Crestron dealers have the most robust technology platform in the industry at their command, including DigitalMedia, Crestron Pyng and 3-Series Control System, as well as best-in-class lighting, shades, audio, and much more. Hand-in-hand with the technology comes the best training and dealer support in the industry.

Tell us about one particularly interesting installation of your product.

One client lives on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The family travels and often is not home during hurricane season. The Crestron system automatically closes the storm shutters when wind speeds reach 45 miles per hour. At the same time, the homeowner gets a text message alerting him and provides a link to activate IP cameras so he can monitor his home (and confirm the shutters are closed) remotely.

Besides the usual, what really specific thing differentiates you from your competitors?

We provide complete, integrated home automation solutions. All of our products are designed and engineered to work together as a single system. Our solutions are tested to the highest professional standards. The same technology that the U.S. military relies on goes into your home. Our platform is ultimately powerful, flexible, and scalable. There’s never been a client request we couldn’t satisfy. And we provide white glove service and support.

What’s the best sales tip/tactic you’ve come across?

Start with Pyng. It’s so easy to get 80% of the system setup and running quickly without even opening a laptop. Lighting, shading, thermostats, door locks, security, audio, fans, create scenes, scheduled events, and more. Then, use Home Elements to add custom features and functionality.
