Panasonic Reorganizes Its Phone Systems Unit

Panasonic Communications Company of North America to offer communication and networking solutions for home and business.

Panasonic is combining its communications solutions and document management groups into the reformulated Panasonic Communications Company of North America, the company has announced.

This new organization brings together product lines in

  • business telephony
  • document management
  • interactive collaboration tools

The company says the reorg positions it to deliver “comprehensive solutions for education, professional services, government, healthcare, retail and more.”

The new group will be led by Bill Taylor, who will be president, and Nick Miyake, who will be executive vice president.

Offerings from the Panasonic Communications Company of North America will include communication and networking solutions for home and business, including cordless phones, network cameras and multi-function printers.

“The new company enables Panasonic to bring together key strengths that we possess in communications systems with a wide range of networkable document management solutions,” says Taylor.

He adds that the new company positions Panasonic for “sustained growth” in consumer and commercial applications.
