OSD Wireless Rock Speakers Complement Portable Music Players
The OSD-WR800 wireless rock speaker from OSD Audio features an 8-inch polypropylene woofer with butyl surround, and the Brea, Calif.-based company says the speaker can handle 50 watts of power.
OSD Audio is a Brea, Calif.-based manufacturer that offers a complete line of audio solutions at affordable prices. Placing a special emphasis on outdoor audio products, OSD recently added to its line of outdoor audio solutions with the introduction of its OSD-WR800 all-weather rock speaker.
OSD says the all-weather rock speaker provides an easy and convenient way for homeowners to play audio that is stored on their Apple iOS and Android devices. The rock speaker features a wireless transmitter that includes provisions to connect a portable product’s 3.5mm audio outputs (headphone jack) to transmit those audio signals via 2.4GHz wireless technologies, and it adds that installers can position the speakers up to 300 feet away. “Our goal was to create a rock speaker that cranks out really big sound but is simple to connect to a portable music player like an iPod,” explains Tim Leahy, national sales manager, OSD Audio.
“Plus, the sound quality from the 8-inch woofer is way beyond what an ordinary docking station could ever produce.”
The speaker’s polypropylene 8-inch woofer incorporates a butyl rubber surround for improved performance and longevity, and the company says the speaker can handle 50 watts of power. OSD offers the OSD-WR800 all-weather rock speaker in a choice of canyon brown or granite gray, and it ships the speakers in complete pairs with the transmitter, AC power accessories, speaker-connector wires and a remote control.
