On-Q and NuVo Join the Independent Rep Movement
After years of relying on in-house sales, Legrand has appointed 12 independent reps for On-Q and NuVo, following a growing rep movement in the CE pro channel.
Legrand has decided to put some more feet on the street, appointing 12 independent reps to sell NuVo multiroom audio systems and On-Q structured wiring, communications and home-control products, including the new Intuity platform targeting production home builders.
The firms will represent only the residential products in the Legrand lines, and won’t sell Vantage lighting and home automation or Middle Atlantic racks.
“It’s important that we have a full complement of boots on the ground to provide the support and service our customers expect,” says Bob Fallert, VP sales & education for tOn-Q and NuVo. “We have spent the last year listening to the needs of our installer, distributor and builder partners, while expanding our product offering and the deployment of this model is simply a proven model to offering the best possible support for the customers we serve.”
To be sure, plenty of manufacturers have dropped their independent reps in favor of direct sales over the past couple of years—like NuVo did shortly after it was acquired by Legrand in 2012.
