The NuVo Wireless Audio System starts with the $199 Gateway and the company backs it with the $479 P100 40-watt amp, as well as the $599 120-watt P2 amplifier and the three-zone $1,499 P3100 rack mount amplifier component.

A couple of weeks ago the Midwestern audio company NuVo Technologies made news when it was acquired by the French electrical equipment manufacturer Legrand.

Following this huge custom electronics industry announcement, NuVo has made news again. This time however, the Hebron, Ky.-based company is making news in the area of product releases. Kicking off the holiday season NuVo has given its dealers an early Christmas present by announcing its new Wireless Audio System that is designed to provide electronics professionals a scalable audio solution that’s reasonably priced and retrofit friendly.

The system utilizes a modular approach that enables professional installers to scale the size and cost of the system based on their clients’ needs. The NuVo Wireless Audio System features a choice of amplifiers—-the 40-watt P100 and the 120-watt P200—-as well as the three-zone, single rack unit P3100 that installers can employ based on the size and and cost criteria clients supply.  NuVo points out the system’s player devices incorporate the ability to play music from a home network, as well as analog sources and Internet radio stations. In addition, the company says the P200 also features the aptX audio codec which is said to provide a wired connection quality through the short-distance Bluetooth wireless technology to stream wireless stereo audio via Bluetooth enabled devices.

NuVo adds that users can control the system through the company’s companion Android and Apple iOS app, and the system is third-party control ready through Extra Vegetables’ Control4 driver.
