Naim Eliminates Digital Inputs in Supernait 2 Integrated Amplifier
Naim's new Supernait 2 integrated amplifier provides 80 watts of power, a choice of analog inputs, a headphone amplifier and a subwoofer output to set up two channel and 2.1 systems in a variety of configurations.

The Supernait 2, available in the United States through distributor Sound Organisation, eliminates digital inputs to provide users with a streamlined choice of six analog inputs and an overall increased focus on analog performance.
Like the original Supernait, the Supernait 2 is rated to deliver 80 watts into an 8-ohm load and 135-watts into a 4-ohm load, but it has improved the dynamic capabilities of the amplifier section through the addition of a larger transformer and the implementation of the company’s Discrete Regulator (Naim DR) technology in the preamplifier stage.
Naim says Supernait 2 also features improved performance due to hand wiring and decoupling the inputs for better isolation, and it now uses film capacitors in the amp’s power stage.
Other performance options include the use of a Class A headphone output and 1/4-inch socket that allows users to use professional- or consumer-grade headphones and the ability to choose FlatCap, SuperCap or HiCap power supplies.
Some of the integrated amp’s installer-friendly features include a subwoofer output that supports the installation of 2.1 audio systems, a phono input that eliminates the need for an additional phono preamplifier and a USB-mini B input for easy system updates.
MSRP for Naim’s Supernait 2 is $4,900.
