Motorheadphones from Motorhead Sacrifice Style for Studio Quality

They may not be the prettiest headphones on the planet, but the new Motorheadphones are sure to rock – just like Motorhead, the Grammy award-winning band that developed them.
Although the product has already launched in Europe, it will make its official U.S. debut at International CES 2013.
The press release notes, “All about attitude, Motorheadphones are targeted to the rock audience, one of the largest audiences of music listeners.”
I can’t wait to try them out at the CES press conference, hosted by Motorhead’s own Lemmy Kilmister.
The thing that really stands out about the line of headphones and earphones ($50 to $130) - besides the fact they’re engineered by one of my favorite rock bands – is that they are really anti-establishment compared to the current headphone market where Beats by Dre and those “Nelly” headphones are so popular.
Motorhead seems to have intentionally sacrificed the looks of its headsets, while tuning them with balanced bass levels to provide a studio-quality listening environment in a headphone (press release below).
The philosophy is totally backwards from what most media feed us, but is probably exactly what someone who actually appreciates music (like me) would want.
I am sure coming from Motorhead the Motorheadphones will fit my needs and the needs of many listeners who demand music with an attitude that maintains clarity. If Motorheadphones can provide me with studio-quality sound and aggressive style, plus sound that only Motorhead can deliver, I will once again say, “‘Thank you Lemmy’ for rocking my ears and making me smile.”
