Middle Atlantic Universal TechBox Hides Bulky Equipment
The new UTB Series Universal TechBox from Middle Atlantic is a low-profile solution that can be used to mount A/V gear.
In an ideal world equipment would neatly mount in a rack, that equipment would fire up, the system programming would sync perfectly and the customer would understand every nuance of their new gear.
Unfortunately, it's not a perfect world. To help dealers manage sometimes awkward installation situations is the Fairfield, N.J.-based company Middle Atlantic. The large equipment manufacturer whose range of products includes racks, power management devices and rack installation accessories has just introduced its new UTB Series Universal TechBox.
Middle Atlantic's latest product enables the installation of components such as Crestron's 3-Series 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System 150 and other streaming devices, switchers and interface products in non-traditional locations.
"Our all-new UTB Series provides secure rack-mount capability right where it's needed. Whether it's underneath a table surface or vertically mounted to another out-of-sight surface, it's perfect for storing all-in-one presentation and control solutions within small- to med-sized huddle spaces, conference rooms and other callaboration environments," says John Franetovich, application engineer and project manager at Middle Atlantic Products. "The low-profile and easy-to-install design provides a clean and unobtrusive look with the flexibility to expand from one to two rack spaces, while also providing small device mounting."
The New Jersey company offers the product in a choice of a traditional 19-inch rack mount width and a half rack-mount width size. The Universal TechBox can be configured by dealers in the field. Middle Atlantic adds that dealers can install the products horizontally or vertically, and UTB Series TechBox also includes pairs of rack rails and rear covers for 1RU and 2RU sizes.
