Lutron Constructing First International Experience Center in Canada
Lutron will open this summer a 2,800-square-foot experience center in Markham, Ontario to showcase wireless lighting and shading control solutions for commercial spaces.
Lutron has broken ground on its experience center in Markham, Ontario, the company’s first international experience center.
Located just outside of Toronto, the 2,800-square-foot facility will showcase a variety of wireless lighting and shading control solutions for commercial spaces. The facility, which is certified as LEED Gold, will celebrate its grand opening this summer. It will feature numerous Lutron control solutions, including the Quantum total light management system, EcoSystem and more.
“We recognize the importance of Toronto as an international specification location and wanted to add the appropriate resources to best serve our Canadian customers,” says Tom Ike, VP of global sales at Lutron. “We look forward to growing our presence here and servicing this important market.”
“Lighting uses about 39 percent of annual electricity in a typical commercial building,” adds Ike. “Showing our Canadian customers how Lutron solutions can reduce this figure and save energy is a win for everyone.”
Lutron has other experience centers located in Plantation, FL, New York City, Coopersburg, PA, Seattle, WA, Irvine, CA and Washington, DC.
