LG Curved OLED TV Launches for $13,500
The 55-inch 55EA9800 Curved OLED TV features an “IMAX-like” viewing experience and is a mere 0.17 inches thin.
But this isn’t your typical OLED TV, but one with a curved screen.
LG is now taking orders in South Korea for the 55-inch 55EA9800 Curved OLED TV. Priced at $13,500, the TV will ship to that side of the world starting next month.
The 55-incher will join LG’s flat-screen OLED TV, which began shipping to Korean customers back in February.
LG says the ergonomic design delivers an “IMAX-like” viewing experience. Other features include proprietary WRGB technology, the Four-Color Pixel system, LG’s Color Refiner and thin transparent film speakers inside the stand - all in a set that measures a mere 0.17 inches thin.
“Our Curved OLED TV is not only the proof of LG’s unmatched leadership in next-generation displays but also a testament to LG’s commitment to bringing to market the most exciting TV technology available today,” said Havis Kwon, president and CEO of LG’s Home Entertainment Company.
LG plans to announce availability and pricing of the Curved OLED TV in markets outside of Korea sometime in the near future.
