Legrand to Acquire Middle Atlantic Products

Companies says acquisition enables more comprehensive offerings to better service the growing AV market.

Legrand, North America has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Middle Atlantic Products. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to be finalized in mid-June 2011.

Legrand and Middle Atlantic will operate as separate companies prior to closing, according to the announcement. After closing, Middle Atlantic will operate as an independent business within Legrand.

Mike Baker, president of Middle Atlantic Products, will lead a new, 5th Division - Commercial AV -  for Legrand in North America.
