At CEDIA 2015 Autonomic, a leading provider of high-performance multiroom audio systems, introduced a simpler way to control music from its Mirage Audio servers and amps: through a Lutron HomeWorks lighting control system.

Clients with Lutron systems could use the HomeWorks keypads to play songs, adjust volume and even create scenes that include presets for music, lighting and motorized window shades.

At ISE 2016, Autonomic announced it was bringing the same functionality to Lutron’s more affordable RadioRa 2 system, via a firmware update in March 2016.

At that time, dealers can go back to existing Lutron customers and offer them whole-house entertainment (up to 96 zones) to go with their lighting controls.

The RadioRA keypads can be used to trigger presets, control power, volume, play/pause/skip, thumbs up/down and other transport controls. Configuration is via the Autonomic web-based tool.

The Autonomic MMS Mirage Media Service will automatically discover RadioRA systems and all related keypads. The integrator simply selects the desired RadioRA processor from a dropdown box, which will show all available zones and keypads.

Keypad buttons can be used to recall existing presets and configure new ones … all without disturbing existing Lutron presets or functionality.

Autonomic will be joining Lutron and other partners in the Lutron Residential Opportunities tour for 2016.
