ihiji invision Adds Auto-discovery, Internet Speed Test
The latest feature additions to ihiji's invision remote management platform are cloud-based IP network scan/auto discovery and online ISP speed test. These new features address some of its dealers most requested updates.
As a leading provider in the growing remote management market, ihiji has always been aware it needs to stay out in front of its dealers’ needs.
Adding to the ihiji invision system, the Austin, Texas-based company has added cloud-based remote IP network scan/auto discovery and cloud-based online ISP speed test capabilities.
ihiji says the remote IP network scan/auto discovery collects inventory data and information on connected devices on a network and it provides detailed inventory data, including IP address, manufacturer, MAC addresses, last seen and first seen instances. The auto-discovery mode can also convert devices into ihiji managed devices to simplify the configuration process for dealers.
The cloud-based online ISP speed test checks network latency and the quality of Internet connections. According to ihiji, the option enables dealers to test upload and download speeds and network functionality. The online ISP speed test also logs and charts network connection quality over time and network jitter information.
“Adding cloud-based network scanning and an Internet speed test is not only a natural evolution of the ihiji invision system, it is a necessity,” says Stuart Rench, CEO and co-founder of ihiji. “While ihiji invision has been on the market since 2009 and is supported by a strong dealer base, we’ve been aggressively adding more robust network management features that better serve the specialized needs of both technology integrators and IT professionals.
“These new features represent two highly requested and essential additions [to the platform] to provide a more thorough cloud-based network management solution - especially for Cisco OnPlus users looking for a replacement to the now end-of-life product.”
