Home Automation Vet Steve Iommi Joins Legrand
Steve Iommi, home automation veteran from Somfy and HAI, joins Legrand as product manager.
Legrand has hired Steve Iommi as product manager, responsible for the company’s On-Q home automation and RF lighting control product lines.
Iommi most recently was business and product development manager for Somfy Systems for nearly eight years, working on integration with the company’s motorized shading systems. He was responsible for the launch of the TaHomA Z-Wave-enabled home automation system.
Prior to Somfy, he led sales for Warshauer Automation, a distributor of home-control systems, and served as regional sales and training manager for Home Automation Inc. (now Leviton Security & Automation).
Earlier, he spent 10 years as a home systems integrator.
In the home controls category, Legrand’s On-Q group offers the Unity Home System, enabling control of lighting, intercoms, cameras and multiroom audio.
The company also offers a line of wireless lighting controls using a proprietary RF protocol.
“Steve brings a tremendous background in home automation to Legrand ” says Fritz Werder, Legrand VP and general manager. “He understands the customer and how to effectively channel their needs into products which will help our installers be more competitive and more successful overall.”
