HAI by Leviton’s KNX Gateway Facilitates Control System Communication
With the new KNX Gateway from HAI by Leviton custom installers can utilize KNX components with HAI by Leviton control and automation solutions that include the OmniPro II, OmniPro IIe, OmniLTe, Lumina Pro and Lumina.
HAI by Leviton is a popular manufacturer that offers everything from whole-house audio systems to control and automation systems. In a move that augments its selection of home automation and control solutions the company has announced the KNX Gateway which it says serves as an interface between its Omni and Lumina series of control solutions and KNX devices.
According to HAI by Leviton president Jay McLellan, the new KNX gateway provides the company’s dealers more environmental control options to offer their clients. “The KNX Gateway contributes to the bountiful lighting control options within our automation solutions,” he says.
“KNX is truly an open platform that guarantees cross-vendor interoperability and the KNX Gateway product from HAI by Leviton allows for seamless integration with our systems.”
The gateway maps specific data points of each KNX device to a unit or thermostat number on the company’s controller, and HAI says the product incorporates a RS-485 serial connection. Dealers interested in the product can order the product, which is part number 97A00-1 and it can be used with systems that include the OmniPro II, Omni IIe, Omni LTe, Lumina Pro and Lumina.
