Exclusive: Netgear Launches Bring-Your-Own-Service for Arlo Go Cellular Cameras
Revealed at ISC West 2017, Netgear's Arlo Mobile service for Arlo Go cellular cameras starts at $5 for 15 minutes.

Last year Netgear released Arlo Go, an outdoor camera with cellular service provided by AT&T. Now the mobile device works with multiple cell services — just add your own SIM card.

The big news at ISC West 2017 is that Netgear plans to launch its own white-labeled cell service called Arlo Mobile.

Powered by AT&T, Arlo Mobile is a simpler way for customers to get Arlo Go online — no messing with SIM cards and third-party service providers. Just buy the camera and subscribe through the Arlo app.

Service will sold by the minute on a monthly basis, says senior product manager Oleg Fishel. He provided pricing to CE Pro:

  • $4.99 for 15 minutes
  • $19.99 for 120 minutes
  • $29.99 for 225 minutes

The IP65-rated camera itself retails for $490. It features two-way audio, “advanced” motion detection and night vision.

Telguard Integrates with Arlo Go

Also at ISC, Telguard, provider of cellular and SHaaS (smart home as a service) solutions for the security industry, announced integration with Arlo Go.

Just slide the Telguard SIM card in Arlo and it will appear in the smart-home interface like any other camera on the network.

Look ma, it's me.
