Even More Highlights From ISC West
ISC West is chock full of companies vying for your time, so here's another group of worthwhile booths and things to see.
There's too many interesting security tech trends at ISC West to fit them all into one article! This time, however, we will look at the show with a wider lense than just Julie's thoughts. Instead, here's a mix of tweets from both EH Media staff members and other industry professionals to help fill out exactly what's been happening at ISC West.
.@DahuaUSA unveiled thermal cameras to the North American #security market. A binocular entry has a visible light sensor and thermal imager for long-distance detection. Steve Wilber explains a "quadbrid" combines thermal, optical zoom, laser IR & a laser rangefinder. #ISCWEST pic.twitter.com/N4cSbrybGA— Security Sales (@SSIMagazine) April 13, 2018
Dahua is on the show floor presenting its latest thermal cameras, which are able to detect both criminals and deliveries with thermal images at a longer range.
Don't miss the Kwikset booth if you are interested in learning about its latest locks, including the Smartcode 888 that can disarm alarms automatically once unlocked!
Facial recognition, object detection, 4K over coax, wireless networks, multizone audio and (shown here) the Cloud were among the dealer-enticing technologies T.J Dickerson demoed for me on Day 1 of #iscwest2018 at the #Speco booth. pic.twitter.com/EOKGKQ7UA2— Scott Goldfine (@SSIEditor) April 12, 2018
Crunched on time? It seems the Speco booth has just about everything under the sun a security integrator could need.
Inovonics might be able to help integrators save some time by simplifying the process of providing quotes to customers for wireless security jobs via its app.
.@Telguard unveils the FlexHub Z-Wave Controller, which integrates with the Alexa Cloud-based voice service. Mitchell Olszewski can demo how FlexHub enables #security dealers to increase RMR by offering #smarthome features via Telguard’s HomeControl Flex app. #ISCWEST pic.twitter.com/zwJQLnej7T— Security Sales (@SSIMagazine) April 13, 2018
.@Interlogix has a huge booth footprint to exhibit it's various portfolios, but Warren Hill can give you the 411 on UltraSync #smarthome, the cost-effective security and lifestyle management solution that can synchronize home systems based on day-to-day activities. #ISCWEST pic.twitter.com/qrnjV0YsWb— Security Sales (@SSIMagazine) April 12, 2018
The UltraSync smart home from Interlogix is definitely worth a look, featuring the ability for users to remotely arm/disarm the system, and view live video streams of their property via Z-Wave compatible devices.
While this one isn't a single product, the Platinum Tools booth is having some very cool demos. It's like grown-up Lego!
