The DVDO EDGE video processor, which upconverts all video up to 1080p, is now shipping across the United States.

EDGE handles up to 10 sources and can be programmed for auto input selection. It has six HDMI 1.3 inputs with Deep Color, two HDMI 1.3 outputs and analog and digital A/V connections.

The video processor also has a slew of Anchor Bay’s Video Reference Series (VRS) technologies, including:

  • 10-bit deinterlacing for sources from 480i to 1080i
  • Auto PRep (Progressive Reprocessing to “undo” poor deinterlacing in source devices
  • Mosquito Noise Reduction
  • Fine Detail and Edge Enhancement
  • Progressive Cadence Detection, RightRate, Precision A/V Lipsync and Auto CUE-C

“We are very pleased with the early response to EDGE,” says Baptiste Marmorat, DVDO director of worldwide sales, systems products.

“After seeing a uniformly enthusiastic response at CEDIA Expo, from the press and dealers alike, we have experienced a very strong initial buy-in from existing and new customers.”

MSRP: $799
