Delia Hansen, Tom Barnett Leave Crestron for Clare Controls and Amazon
Hansen joins newer home automation company Clare Controls, while Barnett takes a position at Amazon’s CE R&D lab. Clare is on a tear with new hires.
Founded in 2011 by integrator Brett Price, Clare is a newer home automation manufacturer that entered the market at the high end but is now making products more suitable to home builders and mainstream consumers.
Clare is on a tear, these days.
This week, Clare also announced the appointment of Chuck Parelli as regional manager. He had worked for almost four years at another top home automation company, Savant.
In fact, Clare started boosting its home-control management team when it appointed Jeff Zemanek as VP sales. Zemanek had been a longtime sales exec for Lutron.
Clare has been finding traction among home builders lately, and recently began distributing its systems through the PowerHouse Alliance, a national consortium of 12 regional custom electronics distributors.
Meanwhile, Tom Barnett, who joined Crestron Electronics in 2013 as director of marketing communications, has left the company to become principal product manager for Amazon Lab126, a research and development company that designs and engineers consumer electronics devices like Kindle and Fire TV.
Before joining Crestron, Barnett was senior director, marketing and product management, for Kaleidescape.
