Crystal Screens and Broadata Team Up at CEDIA 2017

Sister companies Crystal Projection Screens and Broadata join forces to showcase ultra-high-performance projection screens and digital connectivity solutions for the home theater market.

August 30, 2017

Crystal Screens, manufacturer of ultra-high-performance nano-lens projection screens for the residential and commercial markets, is teaming up with sister company Broadata Communications Inc., (BCI) at CEDIA 2017 (booth #3451) to demonstrate their unique line of ultra-high gain projection screens along with BCI’s HDMI 2.0 transport solutions for the home theater market.

The Torrance-based privately-held companies offer custom integrators first-to-market technologies for the residential and commercial industry. Crystal Screens will announce its new 130” 2:40 aspect ratio screen that uses patented nano-lens technology for high gain, outstanding detail and black levels and zero hot spots.

BCI will introduce its unique line of connectivity products that control multiple audio, video and data signals over a single cable to simplify complex systems and enhance the user experience.

Both Crystal Screens and BCI were born from patented technologies developed by their parent company, Physical Optics Corporation (POC), a leading supplier of integrated products to the military, intelligence agencies and contractors worldwide.

“We’re very pleased to team up with our sister BCI company at CEDIA this year,” notes Dave Cusick, Director of Sales for Crystal Screens. “Both of our technologies are unique to any other thing else out there and we’re looking forward to demonstrating the capabilities of our screen along with BCI’s digital connectivity solutions.”

Designed and manufactured in Torrance, California, Crystal Screens utilizes proprietary holographic technology that rejects all types of ambient light sources and provides uniform optical performance over all color spectrums.

In addition to the exceptional gain and ambient light rejection, the Reflect 3.0 130” screen includes a three-inch-wide, velvet covered bezel with a proprietary frame tensioning design that is easy to assemble.

Torrance, CA-based Broadata will demonstrate its proprietary line of HDMI 2.0 switchers that simplify the control of video, audio, data, and control over a single cable. “BCI has seen tremendous success on the pro AV market,” notes Devan Cress,  BCI’s Director of Sales for Pro AV. “Teaming up with Crystal Screen lets us show how our switchers can help integrators in the home theater environment.”
