Crestron to Open NYC Design Showroom
Crestron holds sneak preview for interior designers of its new Crestron Design Showroom in the Decoration & Design Building in Manhattan.
In anticipation of its official grand opening in November, interior designers got a sneak preview of the new Crestron Design Showroom during the annual Decoration & Design Building (DDB) Fall Market 2011 event.
Located in the exclusive Decoration & Design Building (DDB) in New York City, the Crestron Design Showroom offers a setting for interior designers, architects, homeowners and custom electronics professionals to experience Crestron integrated home technology. The D&D Building is widely recognized as New York’s premiere design center and hosts more than 120 showrooms that represent more than 3,000 leading manufacturers dedicated to offering the best interior furnishings, educational opportunities, and home design resources.
The Crestron Design Showroom is exquisitely appointed with a living room, kitchen and bedroom featuring integrated whole home entertainment, lighting control, motorized shades, heating/cooling, security and energy management. Visitors can control the system using Apple, Android and Crestron touchscreens (as well as keypads). The showroom also includes a Technology Design Studio and Shade Design Studio.
“While we love to show off our technology, interior designers want to hide it,” says Ami Wright, Crestron director of residential market development. “Designers and architects know their clients want the latest technology in their homes, but find it challenging to keep up with what’s possible. The showroom makes it easy to see and actually experience the possibilities, discover how easy it is to use, and how to blend it into any interior design.”
Crestron also sponsored the Go Design Go Bloggers Lounge in the D&D Building during Fall Market 2011, a connected space for press and other attendees to report live from the event.
