Crestron Ships AIR Landscape Speakers and In-Ground Sub
The newly announced AIR Landscape speakers and in-ground subwoofer feature weatherized construction, and install options that include 8-ohm, 70-volt or 100-volt operation.
Warm weather means cookouts, swimming, horseshoes and other outdoor activities. Helping to provide the soundtrack to the coming summer days is the N.J.-based manufacturer Crestron.
The latest product announcements from the Garden State company are its LS4T and LS6T AIR Landscape Speakers and IGS82T in-ground subwoofer. Designed to fulfill a variety of integrator requirements, Crestron’s newest audio solutions are engineered to produce wide areas of coverage in a variety of locations.
“These powerful speakers fill the outdoor space and surround you with audiophile sound as if you were indoors, and they blend in with the landscaping so you can’t tell where the music is coming from,” says Dennis Fink, technology manager, audio products, Crestron Electronics. “The long stakes and optional tether ensure that the speaker stay exactly where you put them.”
Crestron points out the speakers can be mounted to a post or wall, or dealers can spike the speakers directly to the landscape using the included 18-inch mounting stakes. The company says that once the stakes are implanted, they will not tip over, and installers can adjust their positioning as needed. The LS4T and LS6T ship in a bronze, textured finish, and Crestron notes the speakers are sold in pairs.
The IGS82T is an in-ground subwoofer that incorporates dual 8-inch woofers, and Crestron states the sub is capable of reproducing a frequency range of 22Hz to 120Hz. Crestron also explains the 8-ohm sub is capable of handling up to 200 watts of power, and it includes a built-in 70-volt/100-volt transformer.
