Comprehensive CHE-HDBT2010 Provides 4K 18Gbps of Throughput via HDBaseT
Comprehensive Connectivity Company's new CHE-HDBT2010 Pro AV/IT 4K HDBaseT solution transmits signals as far as 230 feet.
Providing professional integrators with a high-bandwidth solution to solve whole-house A/V problems is Comprehensive Connectivity Company through the introduction of its CHE-HDBT2010 Pro AV/IT 4K HDBaseT Extender Kit.
The Fairfield, N.J.-based electronics company says the kit enables the transmission of Ultra HD 4K content (60Hz 2160p) and HDMI signals distances up to 230 feet (70 meters) to compatible displays.
Comprehensive says the extender kit is engineered to convert full HDMI signals to the HDBaseT format to allow the transmission of A/V signals over single cable runs that utilize products such as Cat-5e or Cat-6. The extender kit also supports bi-directional power over coax (POC) to eliminate the need for additional power supplies, and the kit also comes with two IR receivers and two transmitters to enable full bi-directional control of HDMI sources and displays.
Explaining some of the specifications of the extender kit, Comprehensive points out the product supports resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, as well as 10-bit high dynamic range (HDR) pass through, and HDMI High Bit Rate (HBR) pass through.
The company also specifies that its HDBaseT extender kit is capable transmitting 4K at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling 131 feet (40 meters), and 1080p HD up to 70 meters when using Cat-6 cabling.
In addition, the CHE-HDBT2010 Pro AV/IT 4K HDBaseT Extender Kit also supports LPCM two-channel audio, and multichannel channel Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound.
The kit carries an MSRP of $369.99.
